Paid too much for a crap product

We purchased this oven new from Home Depot about 5 years ago and it's given us nothing but problems. Within the first year, the igniter went bad in the top oven. My husband is handy enough to order the part and fix it. But it's gone bad twice more since then. And now the lower oven won't work. The center burner is too narrow to evenly heat the pan the stove comes with. And within the first year, the coating on the knobs started healing and labels for the burners wore off the front of the range. Just poor quality for the price. I would not buy KitchenAid again.

I love the range. It is aesthetically pleasing and it is great to be able to use the smaller oven most of the time for just the two of us. I ordered the free griddle for the middle burner in May, but have not received it yet and can't find the correct person to speak to about it in the Customer Service department. I was put through to various people all of whom said they were not the right department.

Oven light button did not work. Had to have a service repair it and it was not the original part. It was flimsier. Bottom oven door does not close completely so you have to make sure the oven light is not on which signals it is closed. Glide out rack does not glide out easily like in my previous Kitcenaid. Very disappointed.

I purchased the kitchenaid double oven and within 12 days of being delivered the bottom oven stopped working. A part had to be replaced. About 2-3 weeks after that, the top oven stopped working. Luckily it is still under warranty, so the repairs are covered (for now). Though, when you spend the kind of money I just did on a brand new oven, you don't expect it to break down within weeks of installation...especially not twice in a row!

I've had this stove for about a month now and overall, it's a decent stove. There are a few things I don't care for. The timer isn't great. It has the same short tone at the end of the time as it does to let you know the oven is pre-heated. Really easy to miss if you're busy and distracted. Then it will beep every minute or so to let you know it went off until you turn it off, which takes turning it on and turning it off again to actually get the timer off. Very clumsy design. Also, the stainless is a pain to keep clean and scratches very easily. Also, the oven is shallow so I have to turn my baking sheets sideways.

The oven hasn™€™t worked since it was delivered 12/16/25 and installed 12/18/2025. We are still waiting for a replacement to be delivered. The delivery date continues to be pushed out due to ™€œdemand™€. Because of our rural location Whirlpool couldn™€™t get anyone out to repair even being offered to pay mileage. We love the stovetop. Anxiously waiting to be able to bake.

I bought this stove at Home Depot. Functionality is nice, but cosmetically I am unhappy. The top back slopes down in the middle. I requested service and the new back is the same. The sides also stick out unevenly in front. It makes it look cheap.

Received my new range yesterday and immediately started having problems. Initially, the lights in the oven wouldn't turn off. Power cycling twice eventually fixed that problem, but this morning I woke up to a relatively loud electrical humming noise. Definitely a bit frustrated that I am already forced to call for service before I even get a chance to cook with it.

I like this range as it has the double oven. There was an issue with the first one delivered, but Abt was great and delivered another one quickly. I had the same one in my previous house, except in white. The one thing that I don't care for is the stainless steel---I prefer the white. The stainless scratches easily. It was delivered with some stretches, but since this was the second one they delivered for me, I didn't want to make an issue of it. The stainless is nice aesthetically but I prefer the finish of the white as it is more durable.

I purchased this double oven over a month ago. With plans for extensive baking over the holidays, the bottom unit worked for exactly 1 week (3 times). Due to some holiday delays, a technician finally arrived on 12/30 with no parts in hand. It needs a new ignitor. He said 'OK I'll get it ordered'. That was 17 days ago. I'm now going on 5 weeks with a non-functioning oven. Quality, reliability and urgency all seem to be lacking here.

I love the double oven. However I was promised a griddle that comes with the stove and have never received it. The registration process did not work when I tried it the first time. Called customer support and they said the registered everything and I should receive emails. No emails came. So a couple weeks later I was able to go in and register myself and got emails but still no offer for the griddle. A little disappointed when we paid so much for Kitchen Aid due to them being a better product.

I've used this for a little over a month and enjoy it overall. Pros: looks great, cooks great, cleans great Cons: very inaccurate preheats (use a temperature gauge); convection is on the bottom oven only; 2 grills on the range are very heavy I purchased the KitchenAid double oven hoping to eliminate a countertop toaster oven from my kitchen. I thought I could use the top oven for quick pizzas, casserole reheating, etc. However, the gas preheat takes 30-45min minimum™€"when the oven says the preheat is finished and you're at temp... Nope. Use an in-oven thermometer as your guide. Also, I didn't realize that convection, bread proofing, etc. were features on the bottom oven only. The lower oven will be difficult to use if you have any mobility issues. The grates are very heavy; I'd prefer 3 smaller grates to 2 very large ones for easier removal to clean. I love the removable bottom pans in each oven for easy cleaning. Great feature.

Bought the oven/range about 2 months ago. Upside is the baking features. The oven heats quickly and does a great jo. A bit disappointed by the seemingly smaller stovetop. It seems you have to cook with smaller pans/pots. If you have a larger pan, it gets crowded if you have to cook something else. The surface seems to scratch easily and the grates are continuously disengaging. Also called for the free griddle offered by Kitchen Aid. Every time I called, all they did was try to get me to buy the extended warranty.

Surpasses Expectations

Not sure why I paid $189.00 for an advertised Expert installation. When three guys showed up one week later than scheduled with two guys who did not speak English and one guy had never delivered a range before. Once we got rid of them I prepped the range myself and it has been a fantastic purchase. Bottom oven needed no adjustment and top oven just needed to be bumped up 10 degrees. My wife is very happy and pleased at how well the range performs. Not a deal breaker but the only thing she does not like is the fact that the rear burners on the cooktop are the same size. Preference would be that each burner be different outputs. Other than that everything is great. We have had Kitchen Aid appliances for well over 25 years and will continue to purchase your items. However, we will probably never pay for your expert delivery and set up. Our experience was extremely disappointing.

I am VERY happy with this unit, my only complaint is they use zip ties to hold things in place inside the oven, the installer missed one ( I will take partial blame ) and it melted onto the bottom of my brand new beautiful oven. In this day and age a simple note to make sure they are all removed would have been priceless.

Great Product but Need Physical User Manual

I purchased my range in Feb. 2025. I have enjoyed using it, however, it would be most advantageous if a user manual would accompany the appliance.

I bought this range and one month later the top oven went out. I had it repaired and it was obviously under warranty but it took me 4 months to get reimbursed for the repairs, which is totally unacceptable!

I bought this a month ago and it saw me through a busy thanksgiving holiday. Still haven™€™t used all the tools but can™€™t wait to try them. There are a couple tiny rust marks on the range top and one of the burners is not cleaning as easy as I thought it would.
