We were replacing a downdraft electric cooktop and there are very few options in the market for gas cooktops with integrated downdraft venting. This cooktop works well, is attractive and also quite expensive compared to models without the integrated downdraft. Jenn-Aire is a recognized brand name and likely a reason for buyers, including me, to consider purchasing. Yet the Jenn-Aire name nowhere visibly appears on the product, rather only their logo, which likely no one recognizes.

This new unit is a great improvement on the older model. I find the gas flow control much better. I can simmer longer without burning the bottom of the pots. The downdraft air flow is improved no more smoke alarms going off. And the design is clean and shape.

I owned the original cooktop for 11 years. This new one is more stylish. It has five different size burners as opposed to three in the original. Gas flame adjustment is much better. Even the downdraft seems more powerful.

I had a Jenn-Aire cooktop for 25 years before buying this model. I love the look of this cooktop. My previous 34" downdraft Jenn-Aire had 4 burners so I am loving the extra burner. The only downside is that the stainless around the edges gets very hot and the downdraft vent pulls the flames which impacts cooking. I was hoping that there would have been improvements made in 25 years. Overall, the cooktop doesn't disappoint.

I tried to buy a kitchenaid in december, but none were available to be seen, as they are the ghost manufacturer of Jenn Air. I finally bought a Jenn air because I would not buy something I could not see , which was what happened when I tried NATIONWIDE to see the same ktichenaid as Jennair cook top. No dealer had the model for show I finally got the Jennair installed in March 2025, since no one would show me a Ktichenaid so I paid $900 more. I noticed that the cook top stainless steel surface had a tacky feel. I brought it to peoples attention and 1 month later.........crickets, it is still tacky The kitchen aid was $900 less, the Jenn air people have NO Customer Care incentive.

I am so pleased I purchased the Euro-Style Gas Downdraft range top. I love cooking with gas and I especially like the downdraft function. My previous range top had a back vent system which I didn't like and wasn't very efficient. Having five burners is great as I enjoy cooking and find myself using all the burners. I also appreciate the modern style of stainless steel which matches the other appliances in my kitchen. I had a Jenn Air stove in a previous house and was very pleased with the performance. I am delighted to once again be the owner of a Jenn Air appliance.

It's not working...gas leak in the installation. Jennair said it was Best Buy's problem. Best Buy sent me to Jennair..until it was out of installation warranty. Downdraft feature also not functioning; motor is running but it doesn't seem to pull odor or smoke out. Also lost a lot of cabinet room replacing my old Jennair cooktop. Not happy!

In first year the ignitors were not doing their job. Had service come out and the ignitors were marginal then after another year they barely worked. Hired a local repair person ($190) and discovered the ignitors were to close to the top caps. Lots of bending of metal and such and all good now.

Only had this cooktop for a few weeks now, but looks great. Replaced a well-used old JennAir that worked loyally for 30 years. I hope this latest model proves to be the same level of reliability. The installation was easy and straight-forward. It could be better with a more adaptable design to fit in existing countertop cutouts. For example, make a nice stainless steel support bezel that allow the customer of older homes or different cutout sizes to adapt.

Functional and Nice Looking Cooktop

This is our second Jennair cooktop with center downdraft. We really did not have much of a choice in products as Jennair seems to be one of the only vendors to sell downdraft cooktops anymore. We had issues with the ignitors on our first Jennair (after warranty, of course). We purchased the latest because we changed countertops. The jennair was installed and all 5 ignitors failed immediately. After 5 weeks of 'negotiation' with the seller and with Jennair, plus multiple visits by technicians trying to figure out if it was the product or our infrastructure, Jennair finally allowed our seller to install a brand new unit. So far, it has works very well - and it looks nice! I don't have a lot of confidence this will last as long as it should based on past experience. I hope I am wrong.

Replaced our downdraft Jennair with new model. Love that if the flame is blown out the igniter comes on to reignite. The natural gas to propane conversion orifices were laid out on a card identifying which burner it belonged to. Labeling on the knobs is light, but with the knob layout matching burner layout it doesn't matter

I bought this model snd have used the propane version. Very happy wit it. Only complaint is a lower speed is needed on the very robust fan. It sucks the flames over so lots of wasted energy. In fact to circumvent it a bit I move the placement the pan over to the side of the burner nearest the fan

It has a lot more features and my old one had what I like especially is the burner that you can melt chocolate. Bought this to replace an older model Jenn-Air downdraft cooktop. This one is larger, downdraft works great and the variety of burner sizes is fantastic. It also has a very stylish appearance, which adds to the overall esthetic of the kitchen. I really like that the grates are recessed so they do not wobble around. I do wish that the knobs were backlit and the print showing the level the burner isnset as is too light to see. Overall, I love this cooktop!

There™€™s no setting on this gas cooktop where I can simmer something, the lowest setting still boils whatever™€™s in the pan. The printing on the top where the knobs are is almost invisible. You can™€™t read what the setting is. I have owned many KitchenAid products in the past in fact, my last kitchen was all KitchenAid. This is by far my least favorite appliance ever.
